Spots of Joy

Well last week-end went really well. I spent the week-end assisting another photographer as he shot a kids hockey tournament. It's been a really long time since I've been in an arena. The smell of the ice reminded me of my childhood ice skating days. I do miss those. Made me want to go skating but it has been WAY too cold to skate outside for the last three weeks. The temperature hasn't risen higher than -30!

I had a lot of fun working there though. He really appreciated my efforts. I designed so some stuff for him and I manned the printer and laptop all week-end. It was such a change to work for someone who appreciated the skills you have. Plus he paid me well too. That was even better. He said I was worth every cent. Made me feel pretty good. I have two more week-ends of working with him but not for a while.

Last night I saw Phantom of the Opera with Craig and Jason. That was a great time. I LOVED the movie it was beautiful to watch. The opening was fantastic! I enjoyed seeing it with Craig and Jason too. Craig and I scraped together enough money to get a popcorn and two pops. It was funny cause we're both turning out our pockets to try and make enough change. It reminded me of the time Craig and I went to see The Rock at the old Capital Theatre. We did the same thing except Craig had American money in his pocket which went a lot further! HA HA...how history repeats itself.

But those were a few bright spots in an otherwise average and not particularly happy week.
